Linoleum / Vinyl is recognized as one of the most--if not the most--durable of all man-made flooring materials.
Linoleum/Vinyl flooring can last for up to 40 years and is scratch and moisture resistant. This natural
resistance dramatically reduces the need for constant maintenance and cleaning; the only real cleaning required
is the occasional mopping and sweeping, as with any smooth floor surface. It's stain resistant, durable,
relatively inexpensive, and comes in a range of designs.

Characteristics of vinyl: |
One of the most distinguishing features of vinyl when
compared to linoleum is that vinyl flooring is completely waterproof. |
Vinyl flooring is extremely low maintenance, and is
considered one of the easiest types of flooring to clean. Sweeping and vacuuming,
as well as mopping and wiping the floor will keep it clean – without worrying
about it being affected by moisture, mold and mildew. |
Vinyl flooring reduces noise and provides comfort underfoot.
Vinyl floors
have "give" and thus are referred to as "resilient" flooring. In addition, vinyl floors
are often slip-resistant, making them a good choice for healthcare applications.
The floors can also help to reduce noise in an area. |

When compared with alternative materials, vinyl offers an attractive installed
cost with economical maintenance over the life of the floor. |
